The Restoration

Before Harmony.

Upon acquisition, Bethel Island had deteriorated into a motorcycle junkyard, drawing persistent nuisance activity, including a local gang presence.

At the time, the community had only five paying residents and approximately fifteen squatters, and its permit to operate had been revoked four years earlier. Storage areas were congested with abandoned vehicles, and internal roadways were severely compromised by widespread potholes.

Harmony acted swiftly and decisively to restore cleanliness, safety, and a sense of community pride. Through a $250,000 investment, Harmony rapidly completed critical infrastructure upgrades, including reconstruction of the gas pipeline, along with the addition and rehabilitation of homes.

As a result, the community has earned strong praise from local real estate professionals and neighboring residents alike. Occupancy has since expanded by 50 spaces, delivering much-needed affordable housing to the Contra Costa County market.

"

What I appreciate most about Harmony Communities is how much pride they put into making the neighborhood look great. The upkeep, the improvements, and the sense of safety all make me proud to invite friends and family over.
