La Hacienda

When Harmony assumed ownership of La Hacienda, the property was overwhelmed by a homeless encampment, illegal squatters, unauthorized occupants, and extensive housing and community development violations.

Two major fires occurred, ultimately resulting in a tragic loss of life. In addition, critical infrastructure failures required six months of coordinated work with PG&E to completely rebuild the electrical system.

The scale of the remediation effort was significant: more than 120 tons of debris were removed from the park; extensive construction was completed; numerous illegal and substandard structures were demolished; and approximately 5,000 hours of labor were invested—at a cost to Harmony exceeding $300,000.

After operating without a permit for three years, Harmony successfully restored its permit in fewer than five months.

What I appreciate most about Harmony Communities is how much pride they put into making the neighborhood look great. The upkeep, the improvements, and the sense of safety all make me proud to invite friends and family over. Renting a space here has been a wonderful experience.
