Tanwood MHC

At the time of acquisition, Tanwood MHC was severely distressed, with only four occupied homes out of 60 available spaces. The community was overrun by squatters, plagued by deteriorating infrastructure, and hampered by failing roadways, all while operating under an uncertain and unstable regulatory status.

Recognizing the underlying strength and long-term potential of the community, Harmony committed to a comprehensive rehabilitation strategy. Nearly $500,000 was invested to address critical infrastructure deficiencies, restore roadways, remove unauthorized occupants, and rehabilitate existing homes while adding new, code-compliant housing.

These strategic improvements stabilized operations, restored safety and livability, and repositioned Tanwood MHC as a sustainable and compliant community. As a result, occupancy has increased by 30 spaces, transforming the property into a dependable source of much-needed housing for the town of Avery, California.

What I appreciate most about Harmony Communities is how much pride they put into making the neighborhood look great. The upkeep, the improvements, and the sense of safety all make me proud to invite friends and family over. Renting a space here has been a wonderful experience.
